V dlouhém a vzrušeném projevu v Ramalláhu u příležitosti zasedání Palestinské národní rady se Abbás dotkl řady antisemitských konspiračních teorií.
Podle Abbáse nebyl holokaust výsledkem antisemitismu, ale spíše "sociálního chování" Židů.
